In keeping with the National Body of the ASISC, the West Bengal Chapter of the Association of Heads of listed Schools was formed way back in 1993. The Prime objective was chiefly to share, exchange and disseminate ideas, methods and techniques amongst all members for the promotion of an ideal academic system within their own respective grounds. For all the schools affiliated to the Council for the Indian school Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, it also served as a platform to generate an awareness regarding the educational trend and policies existing in the Country and which have a great bearing on the changes taking place within the parameters of the affiliating Body. In the past few decades the ASISC W.B. has grown from strength to strength and thus today proudly boasts of over 200 members and still remains committed to its “light to enlighten”.
The Association is committed to serving the affiliated schools and the nation's children, through high quality educational endeavors, empowering them to contribute towards a humane, just and pluralistic society, promoting introspective living, by creating exciting learning opportunities, with a commitment to excellence.
