Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate

About Us

In keeping with the National Body of the ASISC, the West Bengal Chapter of the Association of Heads of listed Schools was formed way back in 1993. The Prime objective was chiefly to share, exchange and disseminate ideas, methods and techniques amongst all members for the promotion of an ideal academic system within their own respective grounds. For all the schools affiliated to the Council for the Indian school Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, it also served as a platform to generate an awareness regarding the educational trend and policies existing in the Country and which have a great bearing on the changes taking place within the parameters of the affiliating Body. In the past few decades the ASISC W.B. has grown from strength to strength and thus today proudly boasts of over 200 members and still remains committed to its “light to enlighten”.

Vision
  • To assist and guide the members of the Association regarding the policies of educational authorities.
  • To coordinate, where necessary, the activities of the members of the Association in order to foster a common policy.
  • To assist the members of the Association to solve educational problems and aid them in the spread of educational information and techniques through its meetings and other communicative medium which may be useful especially by gathering and disseminating information
  • To represent the interests of the Association, to negotiate and to enter into arrangements with any Government or Authority, whether Supreme, State, District, Local, Municipal, University or other Public or Private Body as may seem conducive to the promotion or accomplishment of all the objects of the Association.
Mission
The Association is committed to serving the affiliated schools and the nation’s children, through high quality educational endeavors, empowering them to contribute towards a humane, just and pluralistic society, promoting introspective living, by creating exciting learning opportunities, with a commitment to excellence.
