Akash Thapa is a dynamic educator and academic leader currently serving as the Principal of Ruhiyyih School, Darjeeling. Hailing from the serene tea gardens of the picturesque hills of Kurseong, Darjeeling, his journey reflects a deep commitment to education, community upliftment, and youth empowerment.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from St. Joseph’s College, Darjeeling, and a Master’s degree in Microbiology from Sikkim Central University, Gangtok. With a strong academic foundation, Mr. Thapa has extended his contributions beyond the classroom, actively engaging in capacity building and fostering entrepreneurship among youth.

Recognized for his impactful work with young people and his efforts toward social reform, he has been honored with the “Best Youth” award. His leadership and dedication have also been reflected at the national level, having represented Sikkim at the National Integration Camp organized by National Service Scheme held at Kurukshetra University, Haryana.

Further demonstrating his leadership acumen, Mr. Thapa participated in the 1st Student Legislative Assembly organized by the Government of Sikkim, where he was entrusted with the role of “Leader of the House.”
