It was a proud moment for National English School to host for a second time in a row the prestigious literary event, ASISC Regional Declamation Competition for West Bengal and N.E states, (Senior Category) on 6th August in the spacious school auditorium. The oratorical skills of students, from more than forty schools was brought to test, during the event. After the arrival of the honourable judges, the programme commenced with an opening dance invoking divine blessings. In her welcome address, Founder Principal, National English School, Mrs. Mausumi Saha motivated and wished success for all the participants.
Each contestant captivated the audience with the speeches of famous personalities on a multitude of topics, from feminine rights, environmental awareness, humanitarian rights to acceptance of prestigious awards. The limited time frame could not deter the participants from delivering their speech with passion and vigour. Mr. Ranjan Mitter, Secretary, ASISC, W.B. Chapter, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest along with other dignitaries. At the end of a tough competition of oratory, Subham Sunnapu from DPS Megacity was declared the winner, who would compete at the National Level to be held at CMS Lucknow later next month. Nairita Panchadhyai of St. Agnes School, Charu Mazumder of CPS,Kalikapur were the first and second runner up respectively.
