Delhi Public School Newtown was privileged and honoured to host the ASISC Regional Quiz Competition 2019, for West Bengal and the North Eastern States on                                     18th of September, 2019. A total of twenty five schools participated from this zone. The quiz for the Sub-junior category for classes VI to VIII was conducted in the? Audio- Visual Room of the school by Quiz Master, Mr. Suman Dutta and the Junior Quiz for classes IX-X  and the Senior quiz for  classes XI-XII, were conducted in the school Auditorium by renowned Quiz Master, Mr. Pranam Roy. There were two Preliminary rounds for each category from which six teams went up for? the finals in the Sub-Junior Category and eight teams each from the Junior and Senior qualified for the finals. The Winners from the Sub-Junior category in order of merit were The Heritage School, Howard Memorial and DPS Megacity, from Juniors the winners were once again The Heritage School, followed by Sanskriti the Gurukul, Guwahati, in the 2nd place and Holy Rock School, Burdwan winning the 3rd position. . The winners in the Senior Category were St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Cooch Behar followed by DPS Megacity and Tribeni Tissues Vidyapith.? 

The Chief Guest for the day was? Mr. Ranjan K Mitter,  Principal, The Future Foundation School and the Secretary of West Bengal and North East for the Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate.? 

It was a day of exciting and fun filled quizzing. The enthusiastic participation of students with challenging questions made the event even more entertaining. It was not only enjoyable but also riveting in terms of knowledge exchange. The healthy interchange of knowledge and the command and mastery of application was appreciated by one and all present there.
