Sister Sarita Menezes A.C. is a permanent member of the Apostolic Carmel, a leading congregation in the field of education that has more than 175 educational institutions all over India and abroad. She did her schooling in Mangalore her hometown and then joined the Apostolic Carmel in the year 1993. Having completed the religious studies to offer her life totally to serve God, she made her final commitment to God in the year 2004 after which she did her graduation and post-graduation under Burdwan University in West Bengal and B-Ed in St. Mary’s College of Teacher Education, Shillong under NEHU.

She offered her services at Carmel School, Digboi in Upper Assam and Carmel School, Durgapur in West Bengal. St. Agnes School, Kharagpur is one of the most leading educational institutions in the district of Midnapore that rose to greater heights during her tenure of service from 2011 to 2020. She is now heading Carmel School, Jorhat, Assam, the only CISCE affiliated institution in the district of Jorhat that renders value-based quality education. She is a very dynamic, vibrant and progressive educationist who has taken her present institution to the heights of success by introducing technology based learning and service-learning. She is very innovative and creative in making education more relevant and effective. The outreach programme that she leads in the locality has provided opportunities to the less privileged children of the Govt LP schools to be better motivated to achieve success.

Sister Sarita’s motto is ‘Passion for God and Compassion for Humanity’ with this in mind she moves forward to offer her generous services to those in need. May God be blessed through the hands that render service to humanity in the field of education.
